Welcome to the web site of Okimta: Studies in the
Talmudic and Rabbinic Literature. Okimta is an academic
periodical devoted to research in this field from the Tannaite period throuth
the end of the Rishonim period. The periodical is planned to be annual,
and will be publishing articles in both Hebrew and English. As soon as the
first volume is in print, this website will contain the abstracts of the articles, along with biographical information
about the writers. The website currently offers basic information about the
periodical as well as guidelines for writers on how to prepare and submit an
